I just finished reading the article posted on NY Daily News regarding the comments Chris Brown made on CNN’s Larry King Live. The interview doesn’t air until tomorrow Wednesday but CNN released a clip of the interview. In that interview Brown said that he doesn’t remember beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna up in their rented Lamborghini last February.

But last night, he told People Magazine that he “misspoke” during his interview. He said “Of course I remember what happened. But it was and still is a blur.”

I honestly think that people really need to back of Chris Brown and quit twisting words around and quit finding new things to attack him. He made a mistake by physically abusing Rihanna in February but Rihanna and Chris have a history of violence. Rihanna has slapped Chris on the face before while in Europe but she got away with it. Why do women get away with violence? Men and women should equally be held accountable for their actions. Chris was sentenced to 180 days of labor service in his hometown of Virginia, five years of probation and was ordered to attend a domestic-abuse program for a year. In addition, he was also issued a “stay away” order by the judge. With the “stay away” order, Brown cannot have any contact with Rihanna during the duration of his probation period. What about Rihanna? Why doesn’t she get ordered to seek anger management counseling? She needs to learn a better way to handle her anger to prevent future abuse. Both of them are guilty of domestic violence and BOTH should be held accountable and punished for their actions.
