It doesn't seem to matter who the celebrity host is these days since they follow the same lineup as far as matches go. The same storylines, same matchups, same ridiculous antics, just a different host. Why can't they change it up?
Another very painful matchup between Chavo and Hornswoggle made me disgusted and disinterested. Chavo in a cowsuit? What are they promoting Chick-Fil-A' s slogan 'Eat more chicken'??? This was a Texas Hog Tie match that was completely embarrassing and had me cringing the whole time. Hopefully you missed this one.
The Divas these days are barely sexy and borderline athletic. The female 'talent' is what used to draw the 18-49 demographic...I guess since the rating change, this is no longer the case. They put on a Divas battle royal that was lackluster and boring to watch. If they have minimal sex appeal and mediocre wrestling talent, what's there left to watch? The winner Beth Phoenix got to fight Mickie James for the title later in the night. Maybe a pool of mud would have made this match more interesting?
The one bright spot on RAW these days is...you might have guessed it, Santino Marella. He might not be the most skilled in-ring wrestler but he definitely has charisma, personality, and the mic skills to boot. He is probably the main reason that's kept me tuning in every week. Check it out:
