This is the first UFC pay-per-view event of the 2010 year and of this new decade.

Excited? That would be an understatement. Simply looking at the card, it's not exactly how I would have thought he UFC would bring in the New Year. It seems most of the explosive fighters that would be fitting to see on this card or either injured or just recently fought. I think we could be in for a surprise though. I like watching Junior Dos Santos...anytime you get a guy with a great standup game and expose him to any form of grappling or submission fighting, it's gonna be crazy to see the outcome...especially from a guy the size of Dos Santos.

So is Rashad Evans really a main event caliber fighter? Some would say yes...maybe it depends on who he's fighting? I can understand Rashad vs Rampage being an exciting fight considering how the drama was built up during the last Ultimate Fighter show. Now that Rampage has gone Hollywood, Rashad has to move on. His matchup against Thiago Silva has the potential to be a great fight as Silva has excellent striking ability and power for a BJJ style fighter. Both fighters' only loss have come by the hands of Lyoto Machida.
