Two old dogs goin at it...man Randy Couture is definitely a unique specimen...yea I said specimen.

Why the Coleman/Couture fight was a main event is beyond me...oh and Couture picked up $250k for the win. I know he's a pioneer to the sport of MMA and defies all odds considering his age. Is he that much of a draw to pick up $250k for a fight? Hmm...I did not know that.

I just have a few comments regarding the UFC 109 card:

I really thought Mike Swick would have done better against Paulo Thiago in this fight. Is Thiago really that underrated or is it because he's somewhat of a 'quiet assassin?' Both Swick and Thiago were mostly feeling each other out for the first 7 minutes of the fight with punches thrown here and there. Swick caught Thiago with a shot and then Thiago followed with a solid hit a few seconds after that put Swick on the ground. It felt like I blinked and Thiago choked Swick out cold. D'arce choke out in the 2nd round.

Sonnen/Marquardt got fight of the night honors. I didn't realize how evenly matched they appeared to be. I think I might have to re-watch that fight here.
