The biggest, dumbest move of the 2010 NFL offseason award goes to...The Philadelphia Eagles. Why? Donovan McNabb has been traded to the Washington Redskins for some draft picks. Unbelievable! The Eagles brass has listened to the obnoxious Philly fans that have not respected Donovan McNabb since he was drafted. All you hear is how 'that's how Philly is.' 'They boo Santa Claus.' Does that make these fans smart fans? Appreciative fans? I'd describe them as unworthy, greedy, and plain delirious. Are you ready for this guy to be your leader?

Okay, there are several fans out there and those I know who have some common sense and appreciated the winning ways that Donovan McNabb brought to Philly when there were absolutely no talent surrounding him. He had no targets...they all sucked and you cannot deny it. Terrell Owens was his best receiver and that was the year that Philly made it to the Super Bowl. The funny thing about that was the DNabb and the Eagles cruised through the playoffs without TO so the main thing that was consistent in the Eagles success is two words: Donovan McNabb.
So why has he not gotten respected during his whole tenure in Philly? I have no clue. He was their best chance of winning and making it back to the playoffs. Listen to this guy on Pro Football Talk and how he compares this situation to John Elway and how Mike Shanahan came into Denver and re-built the team around him. Elway was about 35yrs old when Shanny came in, built an offensive line, gave him a solid running game, and weapons to throw to. The 1990s Denver Broncos weren't totally dependent on Elway saving the day. This could very well be possible with Donovan McNabb in this situation. I'm not a Washington Redskins fans by any means but I am a McNabb fan. I know it would be bittersweet for him to raise the Lombardi trophy not only as a former Eagle but as a division rival Redskins. Chilly man...just chilly.
