What a night for Professional wrestling last night was!

It’s been several months since I last commented on anything really related to the WWE. This is probably due to me losing interest in the same storyline, same feuds, and weak celebrity guests i.e Bob Barker and Al Sharptons.

What’s changed since I’ve seen it last? Well, Sheamus (from ECW) is now the WWE champion. I don’t like the pasty dude from Ireland but he’s definitely a change from the norm Cena, HHH, or Orton as champion. I can get used to him as champion, but it’s still early to tell. I still can’t stand Randy Orton and glad he’s even less a headliner than the lowly Miz. I see he’s now the US Heavyweight Champion…it’s too comical to see how delusional and stuck on himself he is. Anyways…

So I posted a Monday Night RAW Celebrity guest wishlist I guess you could call it a little while back…remember? Well, look who they announced will be guest hosting next week on January 11th…#2 on my list ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson!

As you can tell, I hardly think my requests were reaching too far. Most of these celebs have been out of the limelight for the most part or have the personalities that would make them more than willing to take on the role.

I would hope that they book the ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage more than anyone on the list. Impossible? No way! Did you see who hosted RAW last night? Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart…you know…the victim of the Montreal Screwjob back in 1997. I always felt for The Hitman when Vince McMahon pretty much changed the script of the match and gave the win to Shawn Michaels in a submission win. The way that Bret Hart reacted after the match was acceptable in the ATTITUDE era with the rebellious mentalities of wrestlers, but it really went against the code of the wrestling business. I understand that now, but it still sucked. If you don't remember or are really too young to remember the infamous Montreal screwjob, check it out after the jump in two parts.

It was nice to see Bret Hart after being away from the WWE for so long and getting that closure with HBK. I couldn’t tell if he had any after effects from the stroke he had after his motorcycle accident until he raised his arms alongside Vince McMahon. He looked like he had some difficulty there but still looked somewhat in shape for his age.

The showdown between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon happened at the end of RAW. They exchanged words and let the real feelings out about the Montreal incident. Vince was acting too nice and unlike himself…it really was too mushy for a RAW episode even for something as real as that night. Almost predictably, McMahon lands a kick to Hart’s stomach right after raising Hart’s arms as if they’re buds and walks out. I’ve gotten used to rotten Vince McMahon and wouldn’t have it any other way.

So before I tuned into RAW at 9pm, TNA was airing on Spike before that and was ranting and raving about how Hulk Hogan was making his debut. They were running the commercials all week, and they planned on airing that around the time RAW was to be on. From 8-9pm, all they did was talk about Hogan showing up and Ric Flair also showed up.

I ended up flipping back and forth around 9pm and I swear I was in some form of déjà vu from 10 years ago. Hulk Hogan was on TNA with the Hollywood Hogan look and in the same ring with Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Xpac while Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, and HHH appeared on RAW. What is this reminiscent of you ask? Remember the battles of Monday Night RAW and WCW Monday Night Nitro? Here we go again but it’s now Monday Night RAW vs TNA.

TNA has become the replacement of Nitro in the same way…they have renewed careers of WWE castoffs and have a place for what I consider ‘cruiserweights’…oh and they are going back to the ‘sex sells’ theme. You don’t believe me? Look at the recent additions and other WWE rejects: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Booker T, and now Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore.

Does anybody like the direction TNA is going? I think it’s good to have a competition between WWE and TNA…it definitely will improve the creative skills of WWE to have another game in town on their heels. They definitely need the extra push…

I'm so sick of hearing Bret Hart whine about this thing. Waah Waah...and he still got kicked in the gut like he's deserved all these years. Maybe now he'll shut up
